About the Food Pantry

The St. Bernard/St. Francis Food Pantry is a non-profit, non-sectarian, equal opportunity organization that serves the needy of St. Martin Parish.
 

In 1983 the St. Bernard/St. Francis Thrift Store was established and it sold slightly used clothing and gave food to the needy. The Thrift Store has since evolved into the St. Bernard/St. Francis Food Pantry now located at 701 West Bridge Street in Breaux Bridge, LA.  The Pantry receives food from the annual December FoodNet Food Drive, from Second Harvest Food Bank in Lafayette, from other food drives in the Parish, and from other organizations and individuals.  It also receives money from generous donors for the purchase of essentials such as rice, beans, cereals and proteins as needed.
